Collection: Aladino Maduro
With such a long and storied history to the cigar and tobacco industry, it is easy to become comfortable with the handful of brands that you have grown to love over the years. Once you know what you like, you typically stick to those cigars indefinitely. However, in an industry where cigar makers are continuously working to invent new classics that could rival even their own iconic cigars, there will always be newcomers that emerge to shake things up, breaking us out of our habit, and reminding us that there are still so many amazing cigars left to enjoy. JRE showed us this clearly when they outdid themselves once again, releasing the Aladino Maduro cigar in late 2017.
It is a medium-bodied Honduran cigar, made from Mexican San Andres wrappers and Corojo binder and filler tobacco from Honduras. The Aladino Maduro cigar is an easy cigar to introduce others to smoking with, as it has a smooth, well-rounded flavor. It generally gives off an earthiness with a bit of cocoa and black pepper creeping into the foreground, providing just the right balance between spice, sweetness, and wood. We are always excited to see what JRE comes up with, and they did not let us down with this one. This cigar makes for an easy smoke on a day when you want to settle down and enjoy a drink or watch a film with friends. It is good to see cigar brands still pushing themselves to improve their craft, year after year.
